Bluffdale

The City of Bluffdale was established in 1848 and incorporated at the City of Bluffdale on October 13, 1978. The creation of the Utah Territory was the result of the petition sent by the Mormon pioneers who had settled in the valley of the Great Salt Lake starting in 1847.

Bluffdale is a crossroads for transportation and utilities between Salt Lake and Utah Counties. It is home to open spaces, views of the Wasatch Range and a significant stretch of the Jordan River. “Life Connected” is the motto for the City of Bluffdale-connecting the 15,000 residents, two counties and active lifestyles.

The history of Bluffdale began with a larger area than it is today. It encompassed parts of Riverton, Draper and Herriman. It went as far north as 13800 South, as far east as I-15 in Draper, South to Lehi and West to 5400 W in Herriman City. (from www.bluffdale.com)
