Summit County lies on the upper east side of Utah in the Uinta Mountains and contains 39 of the highest peaks in Utah. There are many opportunities for recreation in Summit County including Park City area ski resorts, Rockport State Park, Echo Reservoir and Echo Canyon.
Wasatch County is home to Heber Valley, one of several valleys in the Wasatch Mountains. Heber Valley is often called Utah's Switzerland because of the rugged beauty of Mount Timpanogos located to the West, its pleasing climate and a large population of Swiss that settled in Midway.
The Strawberry Reservoir, Deer Creek Reservoir, and Jordanelle Reservoir, along with beautiful mountain scenery, have made Wasatch a haven for outdoor recreation. The county provides excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, and other summer and winter outdoor activities.
